I believe our increased awareness comes from an ability to openly share our thoughts and lives with each other across the global web.
Without seeing that we all have shared experiences, there was the tendency to accept one’s fate! But now, seeing another person’s non-acceptance of the wrong, builds courage to make new choices for ourselves!
Thanks so much for drawing attention to how we are all impacting each other in this global web, Simmone! I so agree that seeing others be courageous can help us break out of old boxes and make new choices. That interconnectedness is such a beautiful point.
If you want to experience the stars, travel out to the middle of the northern Nevada desert and look up on a cloudless night. You will see trillions and trillions and trillions of stars. You realize you should have a relationship with the night sky just like you do with the day sky, where the sun rules and tracks our time.
Oh my gosh, I imagine that that must be a beautiful experience, Charlotte! I haven't been in the Nevada desert yet but I have been in a desert in the United Arab Emirates at night. What drew me to that experience was my desire (a word that apparently means "from the stars") to see stars more clearly.
Thanks so much for reminding us of the importance of the night sky!
My pleasure, Louise and thank you! Getting out into the northern Nevada desert is quite a trick. Probably a good 6 to 7 Hour Dr. after you fly into Salt Lake City. But better just to go to Boise Idaho and drive south in to Nevada. It’s pretty rugged country.
I enjoyed reading your article!
